We all go through ups and downs in our lives. I refer to them as our ?Seasons of Life.?
SUMMER-LIVING LIFE TO THE FULLEST!
How can you tell if you?re in a summer season?
1. You have lots of energy to tackle projects.
2. You enjoy life and see the positive in everything.
3. You have higher self-confidence.
4. There is more balance in your life.
5. You no longer allow the stress to get to you.
Sometimes you miss your summer moments because:
1. Your daily schedule is packed with too much activity.
2. Excessive worry about issues.
3. No life balance.
4. Little or no recognition or unaware of own needs.
5. Performance driven about every aspect of life.
SUMMER ACTION ITEM:
Look over the reasons why you miss summer moments.
Indicate the ones that are most prevalent in your life and develop one action step you will take to eliminate that reason.
AUTUMN-LIFE?S CHANGES
Change is inevitable.
Some people will remain miserable just to avoid change.
But if you?re ready, the autumn season brings much needed lessons to learn.
How to tell if you are in an autumn season:
1. You are in the midst of a life transition.
2. You?re restless (physically, mentally, and spiritually).
3. You are looking for changes.
4. You are ?shedding? your old self.
5. You are starting a new venture.
6. You are taking action to make changes happen.
AUTUMN ACTION ITEM:
If you find yourself in the midst of change, what is helping you navigate through it?
What is your compass?
Consider asking yourself the following questions:
1. Am I open to this change?
(If not, you will most likely view this situation through more of a ?negative lens.?)
2.
Will I view it as a learning experience or an unappreciated life interruption?
WINTER-LIFE?S COLD SPELLS
What do you think or do when a life ?storm? with zero visibility hits you? Were you able to see the storm coming, or did it come out of nowhere?
Often times, a winter season will take you by surprise because your life might have been too busy to notice.
You assume life is okay and can resent when an interruption occurs.
How to tell if you?re in a winter season:
1. You have a negative view of self, others, or a particular situation.
2. Your bitterness/anger toward God continues to grow.
3. You see no hope for your situation to get better.
WINTER ACTION ITEM:
Here are some actual problem solving skills you will need to dig yourself out of a ?snow bank? in your winter season.
Ask yourself:
A. How did I get here?
B. What is my responsibility for getting stuck?
C. What ideas do I have to contribute to solve this?
Can I ask for others input?
D. What are my best options?
E. What is my first step to resolving this issue?
F. What action steps am I willing to take after my first step?
SPRING-A TIME OF HOPE AND RENEWAL
Are you still defrosting from a particularly difficult winter season in life, and might find it difficult, at first, to enjoy and trust your new spring season?
You are in good company!
How to tell if you are in a spring season:
1. You have a new, positive outlook about a previous winter season and/or life in general.
2. You approach people and situations with a more proactive mindset.
3. You see loved ones with a fresh, new perspective.
4. You have more physical, emotional, and spiritual energy.
5. You have more self-confidence.
6. You think, ?I can conquer anything!?
Have you felt that a ?cloud? has been lifted and is allowing you to see your life with a new perspective?
Do you approach this new perspective with fear or do you embrace it?
ACTION ITEM:
Consider these questions to ?see? or develop spring moments in your life:
1. What person or situation has been draining me for a while?
2. What have I done in the past to make this better?
3. What is still keeping me in the ?winter? mentality rather than seeing the spring season?
4. What action(s) am I willing to take to see this differently?
Growing is a part of living.
Enjoy the growth spurts through each season of your life!

Introduction to Flower Bulbs - Summer and Spring-Flowering Bulb
by: Kirk Gordon
Bulb flowers are popular in the Dutch culture (Netherlands), however, they are native to central Asia. Dahlias are said to be native to Mexico, Hippeastrum is from South America, Freesias and calla lilies are native to South Africa.
Although bulbs are not native to the Netherlands, the professional Dutch horticulturalists are the primary reason why bulbs are as popular as they are. They also get credit for being pioneers in breeding specialized bulbs with distinctive, vibrant shades of colors. The Netherlands cultivate some of the finest bulb flowers available. Because the Netherlands have an ideal climate for bulb production, they grow a lot of bulbs and are pretty good at it, too. Certain parts of the Netherlands is even known as the "bulb region."
In general, bulbs are categorized into two categories - the "spring-flowering bulbs" and the "summer-flowering...

Spring Home Projects in Northern New England
by: Mark J. Donovan
As I sit on a plane in route from Chicago to Boston this evening, I realize I have been staring out into the dark abyss contemplating the arrival of spring. Spring is a time of anticipation and renewed life. A time when the snow finally abates and the Robins return to rebuild their nests. And a time when Tulips and Daffodils emerge from the ground and bloom, if ever so briefly. It is also a time for the voracious Black Fly that we northern dwellers know only too well. For me, however, it is a time to shift into a higher gear; there are outdoor projects that have accumulated over the winter months and there is traditional spring tasks that every homeowner is compelled to do.
There are two main questions I debate as I compile my spring ?To-Do? list: What to do and when to do it?
As always with a non-vinyl sided house, there is painting. Over the years, I have come to the conclusion...

46 Clues Your Partner is Having an Affair
by: Dr. Robert Huizenga
Some of these signs of a cheating spouse are "tongue in cheek" while others are tell tale signs that commonly appear with a cheating husband or cheating wife. There is no copyright. Feel free to forward to those who might be interested. But please don't change anything.
Signs of a Cheating Spouse:
1) You find birth-control pills in her medicine cabinet, and you've had a vasectomy.
2) Mutual friends start acting strangely toward you. (They either know about the cheating or have been told stories about what a horrible wife or girlfriend you are.)
3) Your cheating husband or wife stops confiding in you and seeking advice from you.
4) Sets up a new e-mail account and doesn't tell you about it.
5) He leaves the house in the morning smelling like Irish Spring and returns in the evening smelling like Safeguard.
6) She joins the gym and begins a rigorous...

Spruce Your Environment, Spruce Your Spirit
by: Patricia Twitchell
After a long winter, this is the time of year to spruce up your environment with a good Spring Cleaning. It?s amazing what doing this can do for one?s state of mind.
Not only does a good spring cleaning seem to lift our spirits, it has actually been proven to preserve our home and office environment. Additionally, people tend to be more productive after a good cleaning.
Although the inclination is to want to be outside as soon as the great weather begins, by doing a good spring cleaning you are actually creating the feeling of spring inside your home and office. It is also a great way to get the entire family involved in doing something together. To do this though, it has to be viewed as a fun experience rather than drudgery.
If it is your office you are giving a good cleaning to you will find this to be a great team building opportunity. With the pressures all...

Choose The Hybrid Tea Rose For A Touch Of Classic Elegance
by: Ron King
The Hybrid Tea Rose is a modern rose, the offspring of 2 old timers getting together: the Hybrid Perpetual and the Tea Rose. These magnificent modern flowers grow on long stems and bloom throughout the year. Although this rose gives off only a faint scent, it makes up for this shortcoming with its many petals and tall stature. The Hybrid Tea Rose has been referred to as "your basic rose on a stick." These are the most popular roses to give or receive on special occasions.
A Thorny Issue
Many gardeners avoid the Hybrid Tea Rose because they're turned off by the idea of thorns. Well, good news -- there are several thornless varieties! When shopping, look for roses with tags that read "smooth" on the label.
You can find these roses in every color of the rainbow, except blue.
You Look Marrrrvelous
A Hybrid Tea Rose will look fabulous in any garden....
